MEMORY PLAY
from TENNESSEE WILLIAMS
IVY INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (Winner, Best Experimental Film) | Providence, RI | May 2020
MEMORY PLAY is a collaboratively devised short film freely adapted from Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie with filmmaker Lyndon Henley-Hanrahan. An unnamed young woman has constructed an elaborately conceived miniature world 48 times smaller than her real world -- a derelict basement. In her isolation, she reenacts the story of The Glass Menagerie with plastic figurines. As the narrative unfolds, the boundaries of memory which enclose it begin to disintegrate.
